Workaround for installing FlexTool V5.4 on Windows 8

Problem

FlexTool V5.4 and the other software components included in the installation file cannot be installed on operating systems newer than Windows 7 (such as Windows 8.1) using the standard FlexTool Install Manager "setup.exe" located in the root directory of the CD.
The Install Manager refuses to install the software, displaying the (confusing) message: "This system does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."

Workaround

Install or activate components individually: Install
FlexTool using "setup.exe" in the subdirectory of the desired language\FlexTool\FlexTool-xx (xx=de,it,fr)
Install the CAN driver for the Griesser LINK using "PcanOemSetup.exe" in the \PCAN subdirectory
Install the BGS operator terminal using "setup.exe" in the subdirectory of the desired language \BGS\BGS-xx (xx=de,it,fr)
Install the Griesser Protocol Analyzer GPA using "setup.exe" in the subdirectory of the desired language \GPA\GPA-xx (xx=de,it,fr)
DO NOT install: .NET Framework V3.5 SP1 using "dotnetfx35.exe" in the "\DotNet" subdirectory, but rather
…… activate via Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off: Enable the entry ".NET Framework V3.5 …" including its sub-entries. The FlexTool will only work after this activation has been completed; otherwise, an error message will appear at startup.
