FlexTool: Limitations of the built-in validity check

Limitations of the plausibility check integrated into FlexTool

Problem

If, after configuring the project, the "Sensor" column in an automation program still shows "no sensor," this is correctly identified by the project plausibility check as a missing sensor assignment.

However, if a suitable bus sensor is assigned to an automation program but is subsequently defined as a different type in the KNX Sensors tab (BUS Sensor - Receive) and therefore no longer matches the automation type, this sensor is hidden in the Sensor column of the automation program (field empty -> no sensor assigned).
Unfortunately, this lost sensor assignment is not detected by the plausibility check.

Workaround

The FT plausibility check does not exempt you from a comprehensive functional test during commissioning

Occurs in version

  • .V1.12.V5.3
  • 125.V1.13.V5.4
