JAX: Feedback on automatic lock when safety lock is active

Created by Jean-Claude Hirzel, Modified on Wed, 25 Mar at 6:39 AM by Jean-Claude Hirzel

Problem

In JAX, the "automatic lock" feedback signal means "an automatic (tile) is locked." This leads to the following problems:

  1. When using the RGB feedback signals for safety lock (red) and automatic lock (blue) on a single LED, an alarm first displays red (safety lock) and shortly thereafter blue (automatic lock).
  2. If the "Safety Lock" and "Automatic Lock" feedback signals are displayed on two different LEDs, both will light up when the safety lock is active.

Solution

The firmware must be updated to version 2.1 or higher. Starting with version 2.1, the "Automatic Lock" feedback indicates "an automatic (tile) is locked; the lock is not a safety lock." This behavior is now consistent with that of the MSX.

In a DCA configuration, DCA version 2.1 must also be installed.
